Komen Acadiana strives to fund diverse and impactful breast health programs throughout our service area which includes the following 14 Parishes: Acadia, Avoyelles, Catahoula, Concordia, Evangeline, Grant, Iberia, Lafayette, LaSalle, Rapides, St. Landry, St. Martin, Vermilion and Vernon.

List of Current Community Grant Recipients
Outreach Screening Mammography Services for the Acadiana Area
Provides education related to early detection and compliance with screening mammography to women in Acadiana and provides screening mammograms for uninsured women in the Acadiana area.
Breast Cancer Related Lymphedema Screening and Treatment at Cabrini Hospital
Provides lymphedema screening and treatment for breast cancer survivors. The grant also provides transportation assistance and education for lymphedema awareness.
Cancer Screening Initiative-Mobile Mammography Unit
Mammograms will be provided through a mobile mammography unit which will travel to Avoyelles, Catahoula, Grant, LaSalle, Rapides and Vernon Parishes.
Mammograms for Life
Provides breast imaging procedures for low income, working, uninsured residents. Serving Lafayette Parish.
Access to Treatment
Provides gas cards to facilitate breast cancer patients getting to treatment appointments.
Southwest La Primary Healthcare Center, Inc. Breast Care Program
Provides breast health screenings and mammograms for uninsured women between the ages 30-65 and provides transportation to those in financial need with no transportation. Also provides support group and counseling for patients with abnormal breast exam or abnormal diagnostic tests. Serving St. Landry parish.
Iberia Comprehensive Community Health Center
ICCHC Mammograghy Access Program
Provides mammography services for uninsured women over the age of 40 who haven’t had a mammogram in the past year and breast health education with a focus on the African American community through partnerships with local churches. Serving Iberia, St. Martin, Lafayette and Vermilion parishes.
