Host an event: Third Party Events

Many people and organizations want to make a difference by raising money to benefit the Acadiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. One way is to organize a fundraiser. You can participate in an activity that you enjoy while supporting a good cause -- the fight against breast cancer. You can play in an athletic tournament or shop for the cure -- the choices are nearly endless, but the results are the same -- supporting Komen Acadiana.

If you are interested in hosting a third-party fundraiser and need some ideas, here are just a handful of examples of way you can make an impact with an event.

•  Sporting Events
•  Fashion Shows
•  Sales events at small boutiques
•  Auctions and raffles
•  Excercise classes

 Be Creative!  You can come up with many more ideas for simple ways to fundraise.

For more information, please read our Third Party Event Guidelines and our General Fundraising FAQ, both of which are very helpful as a planning tool for your fundraiser.  Then please download and complete our Third Party Event Application Form. The application can be faxed to 337-993-5745 or emailed to coordinator@komenacadiana.org.  Please allow up to two weeks for a formal reply to your application and proposed fundraising program.

We require a letter of agreement be completed, which outlines the details of the event.  A guaranteed minimum donation amount is required for use of the Komen Acadiana name and/or logo.  We may also be able to include your event in one of our communication channels, such as our events calendar or eblast.

Komen Acadiana is grateful for the opportunities to work with community organizations and individuals who wish to hold a fundraiser to help us fulfill our promise to save lives and end breast cancer forever.
