Educational Materials & Speakers 

The Acadiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure has available numerous educational brochures and tapes for individuals, organizations or school groups, provided at no charge.  Topics vary and include Breast Self-Exam (BSE) cards for young women as well as for all women in general.  Materials are age appropriate and cover the span from young women to elderly women.  Materials are also available for family members.

Local volunteers have acted on behalf of the Acadiana Affiliate through outreach programs designed to increase awareness and knowledge of breast health and Komen activities.  Increasing awareness of breast health practices through distribution of educational materials and speakers is vital to achieving our mission. Whether the audience is 5 or 500, the Acadiana Affiliate seeks to get the word out.
