Breast Screening Resources in Acadiana Below is a listing of organizations in Acadiana that provide breast screenings to the uninsured and underinsured in our community: Louisiana Breast and Cervical Health Program (LBCHP) The goal of the LBCHP is to prevent unnecessary disease, disability, or premature death due to cancer of the breast and cervix in women who live in Louisiana. To accomplish this, LBCHP provides quality, no-cost breast exams, mammograms, and pap smears to women who qualify. Women must meet the following guidelines in order to be enrolled in the LBCHP: - Must be between the ages of 40 - 64.
- Must have no insurance or be underinsured.
- Must meet income eligibility guidelines.

Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic 1317 Jefferson St., Lafayette, LA 70501 337-593-9208 Lafayette Community Health Care Clinic is a non-profit organization that provides quality outpatient health care for the eligible working uninsured and develops and provides programs to address community health care needs through collaborative partnerships. St. Bernadette Community Clinic St. Bernadette Clinic was established in 1995 in collaboration with the Diocese of Lafayette and Our Lady of Lourdes in an effort to provide medical care to the non-working poor. The clinic provides non-emergency, medical care to the homeless and the poor at no charge, including breast and pelvic exams.
It is located in the Bishop O' Donnell building at 409 St. John St. The clinic is staffed by a Nurse Practitioner, a Registered Nurse, a Medical Assistant and volunteers. Office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and on Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Phone: 337-267-1437
