What is Pink Honor Roll? Race for the Cure is Komen Acadiana's largest fundraising effort to help with breast cancer screening, education and treatment for local survivors. Through Race the largest opportunity we have to make a difference is through the Power of 10. Pink Honor Roll is a the way Komen Acadiana promotes and acknowledges the highest fundraisers for the Race for the Cure. What is the Power of 10? The Power of 10 is simply asking 10 people for $10 to support your efforts in making a difference in the fight against breast cancer. For every $100 raised, there is a mammogram being provided to a woman who is uninsured or a treatment medication that will save someone's life. Last year only 918 people took the Power of 10 Challenge. With over 9,000 participants at Race for the Cure in 2011, we hope to grow Power of 10 to really change the way Acadiana looks at breast cancer. For every participant that raises $2,000 by March 6, 2012, they will receive
For every participant that raises $4,000 by April 15, 2012, they will receive:
