Check out the Calendar for more information Race for the Cure FAQs What is the fee to participate in the 2012 Race for the Cure? The fee to participate is a donation of $25 for adults and children 13 and older before March 8 @ noon and $30 after March 8; the fee for children 12 and under is a donation of $20. For packet mailing, your entry must be in the system by noon on Thursday; March 8th, 2012. To whom do I make my registration check payable? Komen Acadiana. When and where can I pick up my Race for the Cure packet? Race packet pickup is on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 8am until 6pm at the Crown Room/Lafayette Event Center. The Crown Room is located in the Johnston St. Marketplace building next to Crystal Cottage at 4607 Johnston Street in Lafayette. Participants who are unable to pick up their packet during this time may do so starting at 7am the morning of the Race at Girard Park. Where Do I Park for the Race? There will be shuttle service from UL Cajun Field to the corner of Tulane and Taft. There will be four shuttle buses running from 7:00 am until 11:00 am, approximately every 10 to 15 minutes. ** Please note that if you park along or within the race route you will be there until the race is complete, approximately 10:30 am. Race Map UL Lafayette will have an event on campus the day of the race, therefore parking at UL is not available. Can someone else pick up my Race for the Cure packet? Yes. Please have that person present your name and we will release your packet to him/her. If you registered online, please give that person a copy of your online registration confirmation in case we need to reference it. Are strollers/wheelchairs allowed on the Race for the Cure course? Yes, strollers are allowed. However, we ask that participants running or walking with children in strollers line up in the rear of the race for their safety as well as a courtesy to our competitive runners. I am registered as a Survivor and did not receive my pink hat in my Race for the Cure packet. Pink Survivor hats and goodie bags will be available for pick up on Friday, March 18, 2011 between 8am - 6pm at the Crown Room or on Race Day at the Survivor Tent. You must present a pink survivor bib to get a goodie bag. Can I run/walk in both the 1 mile and the 5K? Yes. Your registration donation enables you to participate in both the 8:30am 1 mile Fun Run/Walk and the 9am 5K. What is my user name and password? Please email race@komenacadiana.org to get your information reset Why can't I register another person using my email address? A single email address can be used for multiple registrations if entries are made in the same transaction. Since we communicate with participants via email, the registration system will not allow subsequent registrations with a previously entered address. For additional transactions please enter another email address. |
